Japan's Access to buy PalmSource for $324M

Access, which makes the mobile web browser NetFront, said it's acquiring PalmSource for $324 million and will merge it with Access' US subsidiary. Access is said to be working on software for various mobile devices, while PalmSource's former sibling, Palm, is said to be moving toward Linux- and Windows-based hardware. So where is PalmOS headed?
