IT job market will continue to grow in 2007
After a few solid years of growth, predictions have been all over the map for the IT job market in 2007. IT professionals are nervous, CIOs are optimistic and analysts can't seem to agree. Here's what I think: the job market will only continue to grow in 2007. After all, the security needs of major companies continue to increase and as more business processes go online (and in some cases, mobile) more hands will be needed on deck on the IT ship. What's more, the release of Vista could jump start the hardware and software upgrade cycle, leading to more deployment jobs for contractors during the second half of the year. It may seem like the IT job market can't get any better at this point, but if you ask me, there's no reason why it should slow down now.
