Is the KDE 3.5 ready for primetime?

The K Desktop Environment is one of the two most popular GUI systems for Linux, the other being Gnome. Its newest version, KDE 3.5, has many improvements designed to attract Macintosh and Windows users. There is an application-launched toolbar, mouse-over icon help (aka, tooltips), a simplified version of the Konqueror web browser, and revamped portable media support.
