iPhone unlocker to be available in days?

Remember that iPhone hack that we told you about last week--the one that fully unlocks the phone for use on other carriers using only a software applet? Well, we now have a few more details to share regarding the hacking technique, as well as a video demonstration of a similar, rival unlocking process. Turns out, the iPodSIMFree.com hack is designed to be restore-resistant, works with the latest iPhone update (1.0.2), allows for full functionality on all SIM-compatible GSM networks (with the exception of Visual Voicemail, of course) and can be performed on an iPhone prior to activation on AT&T's network. Best of all, they're "hoping to release [the software] in the next 48-72 hours." No word yet on exactly how they plan to get the hack out into the wild (or how much it'll cost you) but in the meantime, be sure to check out UniquePhone's video demonstration of an iPhone being hacked to run on Vodafone's U.K. network using their technique.
