Internet Explorer won't be out until 2009

Microsoft will be doing one more public test version of its much-anticipated Internet Explorer 8 web browser prior to its final release. The release candidate is slated for the first quarter of 2009, which essentially means that IE 8 will not arrive until next year. This is significant because Microsoft initially planned to get the next version of IE 8 out by the end of this year. Some of the improvements in IE 8 include better malware protection, as well as much stronger standard compliance. In addition, it will also add private sessions, which first appeared in Google's Chrome web browser.
