Internet Explorer won't be out until 2009
Microsoft will be doing one more public test version of its much-anticipated Internet Explorer 8 web browser prior to its final release. The release candidate is slated for the first quarter of 2009, which essentially means that IE 8 will not arrive until next year. This is significant because Microsoft initially planned to get the next version of IE 8 out by the end of this year. Some of the improvements in IE 8 include better malware protection, as well as much stronger standard compliance. In addition, it will also add private sessions, which first appeared in Google's Chrome web browser. In fact, we referenced Internet Explorer 8 beta 2 a couple of months back.
