Intel's new Core i7 released to rave reviews
Pricing and clock speeds for Intel's Core i7 processor, based on its new "Nehalem" architecture, were released earlier this week; however, this processor won't actually be released for another few weeks yet. The feedback has been overwhelming positive thus far--recieving rave reviews from sites such as Tom's Hardware and ExtremeTech. Designed for gaming desktops and for PC enthusiasts, the i7 will be built on the same 45-nanometer manufacturing process as the newer quad-core and Core 2 Duo processors. Indeed, the i7 averages 35 percent faster than an equally clocked Core 2 Quad on many benchmarks, according to Legit Reviews. When available, the Intel Core i7 processors come in speeds ranging from 2.66GHz to 3.20GHz, with prices starting from about $300.
