Intel to tout new dual-core Xeon at IDF

Intel is now manufacturing mainstream dual-core Xeon server chips, called Dempsey; the previous version ("Paxville") was not meant as a long-term solution. Dempsey has features which Intel has been discussing for a while now, such as fully buffered memory, virtualization, I/O acceleration and management tools. It reaches 3.45GHz.
