Intel's new chip family: Core Microarchitecture
"Core Microarchitecture" is Intel's description for its new chip generation. The chips, which will be introduced throughout the next few years, are intended to help users save energy and compute more efficiently on devices from subnotebooks to high-end servers alike. For example, there's an "extended idle" mode which lets components other than just whole processors shut down when not needed.
