Intel, at its annual Developer Forum this week, is expected to detail the upcoming quad-core chips for servers (Clovertown) and desktops (Kentsfield.) Intel has been criticized for planning to use two dual-core processors instead of a native quad-core version, but officials brush that off as a minor issue. Possibly more interesting news this week will be Intel's update on the ability to use third-party coprocessor chips and any updates on the graphics chip front--both being areas where rival Advanced Micro Devices has already stated its agenda.
