Intel has multicores inside; AMD too

Intel will announce details of its next-generation chip designs during CEO Paul Otellini's speech at the company's Developer Forum event this afternoon. Intel is also expected to announce more details of its numerous dual-core chips, a few of which are now available but most of which are long-term projects. Finally, they'll also talk about research efforts, both stand-alone and involving partners.
