Intel buys XML router company
Intel said it's acquiring Sarvega, a small company specializing in XML routers and in which Intel was already an investor, for an undisclosed amount. Sarvega's product lines focus on data security, context awareness, and packet acceleration; its customers include governments, banks, and telecommunications firms. Intel officials did not say whether the technology would be merged with existing chip technology, kept as a subsidiary, or sold with network processors.
