Initial goals for Symantec-Veritas?
With the mega-merger of Symantec and Veritas about to complete, how will customers know if it's working out? The number of large deals announced during quarterly results and any general reports about customer satisfaction are two indicators, analysts say. So are the degree of product integration and industry reaction to the next release of Veritas NetBackup due in the first half of next year, they say. Another common indicator may be whether they acquire more small companies to fill product gaps.
