IBM open-sources automated software tools
IBM said it's open-sourcing some development tools that help troubleshoot applications built with the Web Services Distributed Management standard. The code resides inside the Apache Muse Project, officials said. Other companies supporting WSDM include industry powerhouses like BMC Software, CA, Cisco Systems, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Oracle/Siebel and Tibco, so users shouldn't worry about any IBM intentions to take control of the standard with its donation.
