HTC to launch HSDPA-enabled Excalibur successor

In need of a smartphone but find the major carriers' EDGE networks a bit too pokey for your tastes? Well congrats, you can officially get in on the ground floor of the iPhone backlash! In the meantime, there's HTC's new Cavalier, the successor to the much-loved, uber-thin Excalibur (known more commonly stateside as the "T-Mobile Dash"). The Cavalier packs a 400 Mhz Samsung processor, 128 MB of flash memory, a 2 mega-pixel camera and most importantly, HDSPA support into a svelte, slightly redesigned form factor. Sounds enticing, eh? Well, here's the bad news: the Cavalier has been "postponed indefinitely" according to HTC, which is to say nothing of which carrier will eventually bring the device over to our fair shores. Don't let that stop you, however, from drooling over the unboxing photos (link below).
