HP laptops get mobile broadband

Mobile broadband fans, look alive: HP is hooking up with Sprint to bring built-in mobile broadband to a number of HP Compaq laptops. The HP Compaq 2710p convertible laptop seen above will be one of the lucky lappies getting the EV-DO rev. A treatment, as well as the 6510b, the 6910p, and the 8510 series. Additionally, owners of the new machines will get a month of free service from Sprint, provided that they sign a one or two year contract. All of the new notebooks should be available later this month and HP promises that we'll see more laptops with built-in 3G later this year.
