HP expands virtualization offerings

As older servers from Hewlett-Packard's Integrity series are decommissioned in the next few years and replaced with 64-bit Itanium units, customers will find virtualization tools to be the best transitioning method, officials said. A program called Integrity VM will ship this year for HP-UX 11i and next year for Windows Server 2003 and Linux. There are also workload capacity and server configuration tools rolling out along with some licensing changes.
