How to: Open windows quickly in GNOME

This is a pretty simple trick but could save you oodles of time if you use a GNOME-based OS like Ubuntu or Debian. Hit the "/" key to open up a new window prompt from the desktop or hit Ctrl+L to open up your home directory directly.
