Google refreshes iPhone interface
While some folks out there like to look down their nose at how worked up the faithful get during MacWorld time, it's nice to know that even some of the big boys can't help but get all excited about the yearly Expo. Google, for one, has celebrated the occasion by unleashing a little something of its own: an all-new interface for Google Apps on the iPhone. Starting today, expect your gApps to run faster, allow for a higher-level of customization, integrate with Google gadgets and sport a fancy new UI. While this might not sound like a big deal on paper, it does add a number of features that have long been standard on the desktop to the iPhone versions of Google's apps, like auto-refresh for your Gmail inbox and month view for Google Calendar. To check out the new interface, simply hit up google.com via your iPhone Safari browser.
