Adding to the useful applications of Google Earth: Police in Switzerland managed to use it to track down a two-acre field of marijuana. The plantation in question was hidden in a field of corn, and was chanced upon by the police as they used Google Earth to locate the address of two farmers suspected of belonging to a drug ring.
