Google Chrome 3.0 arrives
Google Chrome's first birthday was a couple of weeks back, so this week Google released Chrome 3.0. This new stable build adds support for HTML5, which--among other capabilities--allows for the playback of video and audio embedded with the new <video> and <audio> tags without the need for a separate plug-in.
In addition, Chrome's JavaScript performance has once again been boosted--this time by 25 percent. Other improvements include changes to the default tab page, which now allows for much greater customization.
Some detractors argue that Google chrome commands but a mere 3.5 percent of the global browser market. Still, it isn't doing that badly in my eyes, since its market share puts it squarely ahead of rivals such as Opera and Apple's Safari--both of which have been around for much longer.
Which browser do you use as your primary browser, and why?
