Google adds Presentation app to Docs
Making good on earlier rumors, Google unveiled its web-based presentation software today, simply called "Presentation." This rounds out the trifecta of word processing, presenting and, uh, spreadsheeting and signals that Google Docs is finally ready to match Microsoft Office feature-for-feature. As is standard with Google's web-based apps, Presentation allows you to open and save files in the Powerpoint format, collaborate with other folks online and manage all of your documents from one menu. Additionally, you can host online presentations, with Google Talk built right into the slideshow's sidebar. Presentation is now available online as part of both the free Google Apps package and the subscription-based, business version of the software.
