Fujitsu debuts LED-backlit, Vista-ready ultraportable
We've been buzzing about the possibility of HP and Apple LED-based laptops and displays but we didn't see this coming: Fujitsu has left its competitors in the dust by announcing an LED-enhanced ultraportable. The cute little bugger sports a 10.6-inch, LED-backlit widescreen display, a shock-mounted hard drive, a power-efficient Core Solo and supports up to 2GB of RAM. Somehow, it sports all of this as well as an optical drive, in a 1-inch thick, 2.9-pound case. And for those of you looking for an ultraportable to match your iPod, the P7230 is available in either black or white (though if Michael Jackson is to be believed, "It don't matter"). Taking notes, Apple?
