Firefox security buffs might remember a URL-handling bug that plagued the open-source browser back in early June; according to the Mozilla foundation a similar vulnerability has popped up in the browser yet again, with researchers posting a non-malicious proof of concept on the web. "We thought this was just a problem with IE. It turns out, it is a problem with Firefox as well," Window Snyder, head of Mozilla security said in a post on the foundation's security blog. "We should have caught this scenario when we fixed the related problem in 2.0.0.5. We believe that defense in depth is the best way to protect people, so we're investigating it now."
