Embarcadero Technologies releases Delphi 2010
Today, Embarcadero Technologies announced the general availability of Embarcadero RAD Studio 2010, a development suite that consists of Delphi, C++ Builder and Delphi Prism. According to the press release, RAD Studio 2010 comes with more than 120 new and enhanced features to increase developer productivity for native Windows and .NET application development.
Some of the improvements that caught my eye would be new Touch and Gesture Capabilities for developing applications for kiosks or tablet computers. In addition, enterprises will also benefit from the updated drivers for various DBMS such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL. Upgrade pricing is also being extended to owners of the classic versions for a limited time. You can check out the RAD Studio 2010 site here.
