Editor's Corner

The answer to yesterday's trivia question: Sun Microsystems.
Sun's campus in Santa Clara, CA occupies part of the former site of the Agnews Developmental Center, a facility for the care of the mentally ill that was originally built in 1885. The Center was, at one time, the most highly-populated region in the South Bay Area and was one of the hardest hit sites in the Great San Francisco earthquake of 1906. The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997 and four of the original buildings have been restored by Sun and can be visited by tourists today.
The first three folks to write in with a correct answer, in order of their submissions, are as follows:
1. Bruce Mowery, VP of Marketing, Lumenare Networks
2. Daniel Charlu
3. Dave Watts, GrapeCity Inc.
Congratulations, you geeks are an inspiration to us all. And now, for today's question:
What chip processed handwriting recognition in the first PDA to support written input?
As before, simply write me with your answers--the first three folks with a correct answer will see their name in print here tomorrow. - Mehan
