Dropbox 1.0 was finally released last week, which adds hundreds of bug fixes and a list of new features, including selective sync. According to a blog entry announcing the release of Dropbox 1.0 on the company's official blog, this new release of the Dropbox client should play well on almost any systems, transparently taking care of situations such as Word and Excel file locking, invalid file names; and also packs TrueCrypt support. In addition, memory usage has been reduced by 50 percent, while a new feature called Selective Sync now allows users to select which folder gets synced to which machine.
