Department of Energy clarifies power efficiency goals
There's been a lot of excitement about energy efficiency lately, so much so that even the feds decided to get in on the action. CNET has an interview with Andy Karsner, Assistant Secretary for the U.S. Department of Energy. He sheds a little light on why the government decided to become involved in server efficiency and details how regulations might affect both manufacturers and customers. Overall, it seems like vendors and the government alike are optimistic about the advantages that energy efficiency will bring to American businesses.
