DEMO offers up tech for consumers and businesses
The ongoing DEMO 07 conference in Palm Desert, CA has a lot going against it: a smaller conference taking place only a few weeks after CES is likely going to offer slim pickings. Still, a number of companies have chosen to show off some exciting new tech at this year's DEMO. The front runner for consumer interest seems to be Massachusetts-based startup Zink, which makes inkless, handheld photo printers that can be integrated into other devices. On the enterprise side of things, Adobe's Apollo technology, which allows developers to create web applications that can be run from the desktop, even without an Internet connection.
