Dell upgrades server and storage lines
Dell hopes to revitalize its servers and storage--and ultimately its declining financials--with a slew of new products announced today. New servers in the Poweredge line use about 25% less energy than previous models and are more compatible with blades, officials said. In storage, Dell's IT Assistant software is being linked to EMC's Navisphere suite. Dell is still on track to launch servers using the Advanced Micro Devices Opteron chips in the second half of this year.
