Dell Crystal has DisplayPort after all

Remember that attractive Dell Crystal display that we showed you yesterday--the one that Dell inadvertently revealed and then quickly yanked from its site? Well, the company has finally gotten official with the Crystal and it's now there for the taking on Dell's website. That's not the only good news, however: as it turns out, the Crystal really does support that new DisplayPort specification, though this fact was conspicuously absent from the device's spec sheet. Dell claims that this is their "first monitor to feature a DisplayPort connection" (what about that 30" Ultrasharp 3008WFP?) and while you probably don't have a graphics card that supports DisplayPort yet, it's probably nice to know that your expensive new display is future-proof. Speaking of which, that DisplayPort connector also makes the Crystal's $1199 price tag a bit easier to swallow, eh?
