Dell buys ASAP Software for $340 Million
Generally speaking, ailing technology vendors don't go on spending sprees. The folks at Dell, however, must have never received that memo. The Round Rock, Texas-based vendor announced plans yesterday to purchase management software developer ASAP Software for $340 million. According to Dell, this will allow the company to offer a more robust set of management solutions to enterprise customers who have been asking for a wider range of tools for software licensing, purchasing, renewal and compliance management.
