Cisco VPNs face denial-of-service attacks
Various appliances from Cisco Systems are vulnerable to a denial-of-service flaw which could be used to crash VPN systems, private researchers found. Cisco issued advisories and said patches will be difficult to make, but they're trying. The problem is based in the Internet Key Exchange protocol used with VPN 3000 series routers, the Adaptive Security Appliance, PIX firewall and IOS software.
