Cisco squashes VoIP, router bugs

Cisco Systems released patches for flaws in its Internetwork Operating System and in the CallManager voice over IP software. On the IOS front, Cisco routers have a feature called Stack Group Bidding Protocol which is part of a load-balancing mechanism, and some versions are vulnerable to a remote denial-of-service attack. For the CallManager software there are two flaws, and both could let a restricted user acquire administrator rights. No exploits are known.
