Cisco patches sensitive vulnerability

Cisco Systems has issued a patch for a software flaw in its routers and switches. The problem, called heap-overflow vulnerability, is in its Internetwork Operating System and can allow a remote attacker to gain control of the system. The flaw was first exposed during a controversial presentation at the Black Hat security meeting in July.
