Cisco, Microsoft demo cooperative security products

This week's Security Standards Conference, in Boston, will feature a network access and authentication demonstration from Cisco Systems and Microsoft. Normally demonstrations are just marketing hype, but this one's interesting because the Cisco Network Admission Control and Microsoft Network Access Protection technologies are completely different and haven't historically worked together. The companies plan to offer some beta integration options by the end of this year. Microsoft officials added that their side won't be complete until the Longhorn Server is ready late in 2007.
