Cisco looks to grab broader security role
Cisco Systems will announce several new security products at this week's RSA Conference. There will be updates to the Adaptive Security Appliance, integrated services routers, and Monitoring Analysis and Response System, which perform VPN/firewall duties, all-in-one network services and network response coordination, respectively. The upgrades reflect internal R&D work and the fruits of Cisco's security acquisitions.
