Cisco details vulnerability spilled at Black Hat

After last week's controversy at the Black Hat conference, in which a security researcher quit his job and disclosed a major Cisco Systems routing software glitch, Cisco finally announced the glitch on its own. Cisco says the bug can let an attacker remotely control a router and also issue a more reliable DoS invasion than was previously realized. A patch was issued in April, but users weren't told at the time what problems it addressed. There are no known exploits, officials said.
