An organization called the BPM Forum wants to see overall software quality improve, so they've launched a new group, the Software Economics Council. Founding members include BEA Systems, Borland Software, Deloitte & Touche, Electronic Data Systems, IBM, Oracle, Salesforce.com, SAP, Siebel Systems, and Sybase. Initially, they plan to work on standards enforcement, hosted delivery models, licensing trends, and open-source coding trends, officials said.
