Belkin readies 802.11n wireless USB hub
If you're reading this newsletter, chances are that you have at least two PCs at home. Or at the very least, a PC and another WiFi-capable device, be it a video game console, set-top box or smartphone. Which means that you likely have a WiFi router somewhere in your domicile, pumping those sweet Internets into the very air you breathe. You also probably have a USB hub around somewhere, since you can never have enough gadgets and subsequently, USB ports. So it's about time that someone put two and two together in order to create one fancy gadget that performs two necessary tasks. Belkin, already a mainstay of the USB hub and wireless router worlds has created what it calls a "network USB hub". While it looks like just about every other 802.11n device out there, it packs a hidden punch: 5 USB ports that are accessible via the network. Apparently the hub comes packaged with software that allows the user to access the plugged-in peripherals wirelessly--a very attractive proposition indeed. The device should hit U.S. shores in June for around $130.
