Apple to woo switchers, the enterprise at WWDC '07
Here at DailyTechRag, we're no stranger to discussing the potential that Apple hardware and software has in the enterprise market. Well, it looks like somebody in Cupertino has been listening: eWeek peeped the schedule for the upcoming World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) and is reporting that this year's conference will place a heavy emphasis on the enterprise and on switching from Windows. The "Immersion Monday" program is a crash course in OS X development for programmers new to the platform while a series of IT sessions and labs will help system admins and IT managers come to terms with the unfamiliar new boxes that are invading their flock. It's nice to see Apple finally paying attention to areas where it has traditionally been weak, especially during a time when many IT departments will be pondering a switch in lieu of Vista.
