March 28, 2007 — 7:01pm ET
It was bound to happen sooner or later: Apple has unleashed a new version of its Boot Camp software and as expected, the upgrade's prime selling point is that it supports Windows Vista. So all you Mac-toting Vista-lovers can now double-boot Vista in its full glory on the Intel Mac of your choosing. Other new features in version 1.2 include:
- Better trackpad, audio, iSight, graphics, and modem drivers for Windows
- Apple Remote support in iTunes and Windows Media Player
- System tray icon for Boot Camp info
- Foreign language support
While Boot Camp is still officially Beta software, a full version is expected to be integrated into Apple's upcoming OS 10.5 Leopard in June.
