Apple Rumors: New keyboards, iPhone Nano
With the iPhone hype finally dying down, the Apple rumor mill again has sprung into action, doling out visions of the future to the Mac faithful. First up is an interesting tidbit regarding the standard Apple keyboard. Apparently those spiffy, redesigned iMacs will be accompanied by a spiffy, redesigned keyboard--modeled after the slim, love-it-or-hate-it MacBook keyboard. According to Apple Insider's "people familiar with the project," the new iMacs and keyboards will both land sometime in August. Whether or not the keyboards will also be available separately remains unclear.
Next up, the iPhone Nano rumor. With the iPhone out, it was only a matter of time until an analyst firm took the bait and predicted an "iPhone Nano"--this time around, it's the analysts at JP Morgan. Citing inside folks in Apple's supply channels in Taiwan, JP Morgan analyst Kevin Chang goes on the record to state that Apple will "launch a cheaper version of the iPhone in the fourth quarter that could be based on its iPod nano music player." I'd say it's still a bit early to be speculating on future versions of the iPhone--a smaller version of the phone at some point, however, seems like a no-brainer.
