Apple rumor: Multitouch monitor rumor picks up steam
If you follow the Apple rumor circuit, you'll remember the latest, uber-tantalizing but probably less-than-feasible rumored product: Multitouch-enabled cinema displays. Too good to be true though it may be, the Mac blogosphere has seized upon the rumor as the next big thing. Gizmodo has a nice wrap-up of the past week's buzz, including a video of how a Multitouch display might work, as well as an email citing "an anonymous designer at Apple" that makes it sound like touch-screen displays are on the way. Gizmodo seems unmoved by the idea but allow me to throw my two cents into the pile: Multitouch displays would awesome, not to mention a bold way of demonstrating Apple's status as a hardware and OS innovator.
