Apple mega update fixes 21 vulnerabilities from OS X
Like any complex software or operating system, the Mac OS X is not immune to bugs and flaws. Users on the Mac platform will want to know that Apple has just delivered the sixth Leopard update, which fixes numerous bugs and vulnerabilities in the operating system. According to Apple, the 372 MB patch file fixes nearly 40 problems in the operating system and related applications. It also includes several security improvements that patch 21 security holes across a wide range of software and services. Some of the security problems include weaknesses against denial of service attacks in its network stack, an overflow vulnerability in the kernel that could result in escalation of privileges and multiple vulnerabilities in the bundled Flash Player plug-in.
