Another hefty patch month for Microsoft
Microsoft released 23 patches this month, spread across 12 bulletins. Of the 23 patches, 11 are for previously known flaws, and nine are labeled critical. The most serious patch is for a bug that allows remote attacks on Windows via a file and printer sharing service without any user actions required, similar to the MSBlast worm of 2003. All of the patches and various work-arounds are available now.
