AMD to layoff 5% of workforce?
AMD has been struggling at bit of late, so this doesn't come as a complete surprise: Rumors are circulating that the hardware manufacturer is preparing to announce 800 layoffs, representing around 5 percent of the company's global workforce. When reached for comment by CNET, the company denied that the cuts had already taken place but declined comment any further on the "rumors and speculation."
