In fact, as one research firm notes, it's a good time to start evaluating your enterprise's energy consumption before new laws mandate "green" computing environments heavy on energy efficiency. Lawmakers abroad are already mulling new rules for companies to follow in an effort to reduce the power demand created by all the new advancements in everything from more powerful servers and storage centers to the requisite cooling system requirements to keep all the new devices from melting down.
