What matters to CIOs in 2007

A survey from Silicon.com's CIO Agenda profiles the issues CIOs will focus on in 2007. Unlike last year, when many CIOs said spending IT budgets would decline, this year two thirds report that they anticipate spending will rise or remain flat. And despite all the attention paid to Vista and Web 2.0, most CIOs are ignoring the hype and will spend their budget on mobile and wireless, convergence and compliance. Additionally, the two major challenges CIOs will face are retaining skilled IT workers and sorting through vendor offerings.
