Waiting out virtualization problems
Wait out the problems with virtualization before fully committing to it, according to a Gartner analyst speaking at Gartner's infrastructure, operations and data centre summit in Sydney, Australia. Those problems, which include licensing, support, emerging technologies, cost and the lack of enough good virtualization vendors, are big hurdles. In the meantime, businesses should build strong data center governance strategies to ward off vendors vying for third-party control of virtualization. Doing so will prevent you from getting locked into one vendor. But virtualization will be part of nearly every aspect of IT by 2015, so it's time to start asking vendors questions about how they will accommodate their applications with the new technology.

All of these "references" of articles are based on 2 year old statements! VMware has provided tools and management pieces for helping in each of the areas described above. Another "fine" example of "research" with no substance or checking for the existence of real world CURRENT examples. Give these articles a miss - they will NOT give you the information you really need.
