Vista adoption could break the record
November 27, 2006 — 8:01pm ET
Despite the ongoing security issues, analysts report that Microsoft's newest operating system, Vista, will see fast adoption once it's available. According to analyst firm Ovum, about 15 percent of current PC users will move to Vista in the first year, a record adoption trend. While it has been predicted that a good number of enterprises will also make the leap, thanks to Microsoft's licensing program's automatic upgrade process, adoption of the new Microsoft Office isn't expected to be as dramatic.
